“EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE” WINS BEST PICTURE OSCAR

LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Everything Everywhere All At Once” was named best picture at the Oscars last night. It’s only the second film The Daniels have made. Sheinert says they got their start making music videos. He says they’re notorious for coming up with an idea and figuring out how to pull it off as they go. Kwan says “Everything” is “a shotgun blast of joy and absurdity and creativity.”

MICHELLE YEOH WINS BEST ACTRESS OSCAR

Fraser acknowledges that he's been an actor for 30 years and things have not come easy for him. He says putting one foot in front of the other worked for him, and it can work for others.

KE QUY KWAN WINS SUPPORTING ACTOR OSCAR

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Ke Quy Kwan (kee whee kwahn) says one of his proudest moments was not just hearing his name announced as the winner of the best supporting actor Oscar, but hearing his actual name. Kwan went by Jonathan Kwan as a kid because his agents thought it sounded more American. Kwan says when he heard his name read as the winner last night for “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” his first thought was of his mother, who sacrificed so much for him. Kwan struggled with getting acting jobs as an adult, and he'd call his agent every few months, only to be told there's no work for him, Kwan says he plans to call his agent today and he's expecting “a different answer.”

JAMIE LEE CURTIS WINS BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS OSCAR

LOS ANGELES (AP)) – You could see the words Jamie Lee Curtis said when she was announced as the best supporting actress winner at the Oscars: “shut UP!” Curtis won for her role in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” While she mentioned her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, in her acceptance speech, she told reporters backstage she doesn’t believe in a world where “people are looking down on us.” She says she is a product of her parents and they would be incredibly proud of her. Leigh had been nominated for her work in “Psycho” and Curtis for “The Defiant Ones,” but neither had won.
